Hair treatment

When it comes to hair loss treatments, our medical doctors use their ability to prescribe prescription compound topicals and supplement recommendations that aid in your hair growth journey. Also, since our providers are licensed physicians who understand that certain disease processes can cause hair loss, before beginning treatments, they will order lab work to rule out any hormonal or metabolic causes.

At Aesthetic Excellence MD, we administer the medical procedure known as Platelet-Rich-Plasma therapy to stop hair loss and promote hair growth. Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, uses your body’s own blood product which contains many naturally occurring growth factors.

Prior to PRP procedures, the area is treated with a topical numbing agent to reduce patient discomfort. Then PRP is administered as an injectable using a fine needle in target areas before using a micro-needling device. During the PRP injections we use a small vibration device on the scalp to help improve patient comfort. Ice pack application at the end of the procedure can also help improve patient comfort.

PRP generally takes at least four sessions, occurring once a month in order to see results. However, some patients may require more than four sessions. Finally, lifestyle choices could impact effectiveness of treatment.
