The area around the eyes are often the first sign of aging and the first concern of our clients. Even during a pandemic when most faces are hidden behind a mask, the focus remains on the eyes! As we age, or even as we lose weight, our body restructures fat. When that happens, the superficial fat pads increase while the deeper ones decrease leading to a tired-looking eye and unsightly bags. Dr. Birskin and Dr. Leybel are leading the charge in restoring your natural youth.
The treatment
When it comes to eye treatments, our medical doctors use their expertise in anatomy and classical beauty to take your individualized concerns into consideration in order to restore glow and promote graceful aging.
At Aesthetic Excellence MD, we use filler and neuromodulators. Our physicians select the proper product or combination of products after your personalized consultation to meet your expectations.
Improvements to the eye area can be addressed not only by using a hyaluronic acid filler in the tear trough, but also by readjusting the volume of the medial cheek area that transitions to the tear trough, smoothing out the wrinkles around the eyes, opening the eye up using neuromodulators such as Botox, or adjusting the position of the brow.
Each product and technique produces different results. For instance, if a slight brow lift is desired your provider might use Botox, whereas threads can be used to achieve a more dramatic brow lift. Botox can be used to smooth wrinkles around the eyes, and Belotero could be used to reduce hollowness under the eye. With so many tools at our disposal, our procedures are highly customized to get you the results you want!
Prior to the procedures, the area is treated with a topical numbing agent to reduce patient discomfort. Filler under the eye is administered using a cannula while neuromodulators are injected using a fine needle.
Eye treatments generally show their effects within two weeks of the procedure. You can expect tear trough treatments to last one to two years, MINT threads to last up to a year, and neuromodulators such as Botox to last about 3 months.
